Hope you are all well. We’ve been up to lots of stuff lately and I’m sorry I haven’t written for a while but trying to juggle a few different things so I promise will keep you all up with what’s going on – some really exciting stuff in the next month or so I really hope you guys like what we are gonna do!

As you can see in the pic I’m stood in a dustbin full of ice cold water.

When we were in Cyprus about a couple of weeks ago I decided to go off snorkeling down the beech a little and I found this jetty that was connected to a hotel that wasnt open for the summer yet. I climbed up and walked along it to the end where it was connected to another floating jetty, the gap was about a metre wide so I jumped over and onto the floating jetty with all my gear – goggles, flippers and towel – went up to the water put all my stuff on and then got into the water… it must of taken about a second to start realizing the water was so cold that frostbite was going to set in so I got straight back out.

I looked around to see if there was anyone looking at this podgy doughnut who walked over all this way put on all this stuff and then got into the water and got straight back out! Well there was no one about so I gathered all this stuff up and started to walk back up the jetty. I looked at the gap and went to jump over but didnt realize it was like that wipeout program and the jetty moves and i didn’t make it! Well my knee did make it and came cracking down on the edge of the jetty and I fell in the water! I have to say its one of the most stupid things I have ever done! I could have killed myself!  I don’t know why but sometimes I forget I’m 44 and think I’m 24! Why can’t I just sit in the sun and relax? Why do I think im the greek BEAR GRYLLS?

I sat there in that water and thought how I’m I gonna get back… maybe my leg is broken…? what if I can’t get out….?

Oooohhhh my God…

I sat there for about 5 mins and then pulled myself out and hoblled back to the beech where Karen Lagi and Ellie were and got a mix of sympathy and a right telling off from them all.

Well after a couple of weeks of hobbling about and dancing with so much deep heat on that it made your eyes water at a 100 yards  I’m better now but still icing the leg…

WELL BOTH LEGS… BECAUSE IT WOULD LOOK REALLY STUPID STOOD IN THE GARDEN WITH ONLY ONE LEG IN A DUSTBIN…

Hi Demi,

I would ask if you are well, but apart from some teenage spots I know that you are. I have been given this amazing opportunity to write to you just as you reach the tender age of 16. I want to tell you what’s going to happen to you when you hit your forties but I can’t, I really don’t want to spoil the surprise for you, so I have decided to just give you some advise and reassurance for this great adventure you are about to go on.

Firstly I want you to know I have never had any regrets – absolutely none – I hope this makes things a little easier for you as I know you worry about everything, by the way that never changes, you will always worry about everything. There are some things though that you might decide you want to avoid when I let you know some of the consequences. In a couple of years you’re gonna start smoking. You are gonna smoke for a good few years. The problem isn’t the smoking, it’s the trying to stop that has caused you a good few years of problems… so you have two choices. CHOICE No.1 Don’t start smoking just avoid it like the plaque and never even try it no matter how cool you think it looks… or CHOICE No 2 Smoke more than you would. Every time you want a ciggy have two – if you knew the stress your gonna go through giving up you may as well make it worthwhile… It’s such a powerful habit that when you give up your gonna miss it every day of life …yes everyday…..so probably option No 1 would be the way to go.

I know the school thing is bothering you a little, and how everyone keeps telling you that grades are really important and you must do well in your exams and how your just always getting grade C’s. Well this is gonna come as a bit of a shock but that’s not strictly true! It is important to get an education but it’s not the ”Be all and end all” the life experiences you are going to get will but as important to you as those C’s you are always worrying about. You will always be one of those people that keep asking questions and always ask other peoples opinion, you will sometimes choose to ignore them but at least you have another point of view. That’s as good as any A+ in any exam…

In a few years you are gonna go and work abroad. This is gonna be the time of your life. You are really gonna have fun. You are gonna meet some people that will affect the rest of your life. Look out for a girl called Karen (she’s gonna knock your socks off ) you are gonna eat well live well and go to the gym every day… yes I said the gym… I know that you are a little podgy now and that you worry about it, but when you hit your twenties ohhhhh myyyyy God… you get the body of Greek God… it’s fantastic… you get pecks biceps and a six-pack to die for …I just want you to do me one favour …TAKE SOME PICTURES!!!!!! That great body you get for a few years doesn’t last forever, you’re gonna spread out when you get older (don’t worry you still look cute but you are gonna fill out). The problem is no one will believe you looked like a short version of Arnold Schwarzenegger… and if I had pictures I could show them and shut them up. So take plenty.

I also want you to know that your granny and granddad whom you love more than life are with you for a long time to come, so stop worrying. They will share some of the best times of your life with you and you. They are gonna see your kids and spend time with them. I know you always worry about making them proud …please don’t worry….. they are …they told me … as they tell you now ….and when it is time ….and they do leave you it will hurt ……. it will really hurt …but that’s not for a long long time yet.

I think that’s all really. I really have tried to think if there’s anything else and I don’t think there is …oh hang on ….I know you have a perm now but in a few years time you a gonna start to thin out on top. You are probably running around screaming about now but …. PLEASE DON’T WORRY …..it’s a lot more common than you think. There a lot of balding people in the next thirty years (personally I think it has something to do with the ozone) – in fact it becomes quite fashionable to have a shaved head – and anyway your wife loves you bald.

Well Demi I think it’s time to finish up. Have a great time (I know you will) and enjoy all of it – it’s gonna be a fun ride…

Oh and by the way, the lottery numbers for the day of your 44th birthday are 2, 8, 14, 16, 29, 36

We had a fantastic break at a hotel that Karen and the kids chose called the Aqua Blu in Sharm El Sheik Eygpt

When we got there I could see why they chose it. The slides at this hotel complex were absolutely amazing! Now you guys know I’m a bit of a scaredy cat so it took a couple of hours for me to have a good look around and go up and down the steps of these monster slides before Lagi blackmailed me into going down one. I admit I had to hold the hand of the lifeguard guy at the top of slide while I got into the dingy and then he had to prize my hand off his and push me and Lagi down …. yes I screamed the whole way down… and yes I sounded like a little girl… Take a look at the pics and look at my face !!

Once we got to the bottom then the flood gates opened – everyone and their mother wanted to go down a slide with Stavros Flatley! People just kept coming up and saying ‘can my dad or my son go down a slide with you so we can take a picture?’ So there are plenty of pics out there of my going down a monster slide with people I just met, total strangers sitting with me on a dingy and me screaming every time – and they kept coming… lots of them… all wanting a picture if the fat man screaming

The rest of the holiday was great too by the way. The food fantyastic the staff really polite and all the people we had pickys with were just a pleasure to meet…

Hi guys,

Well we just got back from China and we had a great time performing on China’s Got Talent. We were with George Samson and Jai McDowell – it was a real experience there, we got to stay for about 4 days. What a country! A jaw dropping place to see, the food was amazing too, being able to eat chinese food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was something I will never forget! I’m having withdrawall pains so im going to visit our local tonight to score some noodles and sweet and sour. They asked us to dance with some of the previous contestants so we had to change the act a little to accomadate dancing with the girls but they were so adorable and sweet that we were happy to oblige. Also there were about fifty Michael Jacksons there and I just had to get some pictures for you all to see. I just went up to them and asked if I could stand there next to them for a pic (even if they were eating) – take a look you’ll love it! Also when we got to the dressing room we saw our name on the door. They couldn’t call us Stavros Flatley because it didn’t translate so there name for us was Happy fatman and son! So are you ready for this over 600 million people saw that show so over 600 million people know me as… HAPPY FATMAN !
