Thank you all so much for my birthday greetings. What can I say? I’m truly touched. Who’d have thought that 32 years ago this little bald, cute, podgy baby would grow up to be this old,cute, podgy bloke!

I can’t believe what a year we’ve had …I’m still smiling now thinking about what’s happened to us!

Some of you may be wondering what we’re going to do tonight. Well, I’ve decided to have a very low key birthday. Simon, Amanda and Piers are coming round, and we’re going to get a take-away. We’ve moved the piano into the living room so that when Elton John turns up we can have a sing song. Robbie Williams  and Lilly Allen will probably start it off- they love a sing song!

Gordon Ramsay offered to cook, but I insisted he relax and we’ll have a take-away. Who needs to be slaving in the kitchen on my birthday?! Then Daniel Craig is bringing round his James Bond box set collection, so we’re all going to sit on the sofas and watch Bond movies till the early hours .

Not too fussy, just a few friends round…

Once again, thank you all so much. I really mean it. You have all been so nice to us…I can’t tell you how good it feels to know we’ve made all these friends in all of you .
